Gotta say... from what I've heard, Wonder Mountain's Guardian (Canada's Wonderland) might be my new fave dark ride. Guess we have to wait till May!

My most favorite dark ride would definitely have to be The Haunted Mansion at Disney World because it is just such an awesome creepy environment and I just enjoy going on that ride each time we go to Disney.

Flight of Fear and Boo Blasters on Boo Hill. Anything I rode in Disney World or Universal Hollywood has been too long ago for me to remember clearly.

I have several Favorites

1. The Haunted Mansion (Disneyland)
2.Indiana Jones (Disneyland)
3.Kingdom of the Dinosaurs (Knotts Berry Farm(Sadly removed))
4.Transformers The Ride 3D (Universal Studios Hollywood)

Dark rides are my favorite kind of rides of a Theme Park.  The work that can go into a dark ride to fully immerse the guests in it's world is what really stands out with these kind of rides. Plus the pace and speed they go give riders the time to take it all in as oppose to some high speed rides with dark ride elements.

I have been there twice and both times that ride was at the top of my list. Both times I missed... it closes early and I like to get in other rides (Terror of Tower and Rock n Roller Coaster) before hand and then all the shows take up the rest of time.  :'(

Unfortunately my favorites no longer exist.

From Dorney Park, Allentown PA
Bucket of Blood, Pirate themed: Pretzel car, haunted house (burned down 1983)
Journey to the center of the earth: Shoot the Chute ride themed with monster displays (demolished by Ceder Fair 1992, so sad)

I have made several attempts at recreating Journey in RCT I hope this program will do the trick.

Current existing favorites include:

Haunted mansion - Knoebels grove
Pirates of the Caribbean- Disneyworld
Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, Universal Florida
Boat Chute - Lake Winnie GA (very close to journey without any monsters, its just dark in the tunnel)

Never been on transformers the ride 3D but I've seen videos of it. It is hands down the BEST DARK RIDE ON THIS PLANET! :D

I regret nothing saying that comment

I regret saying this comment. My REAL favorite Dark Ride is Curse of Darkastle unless Wonder Mountain's Guardian turns out to be as awesome as I'm hoping.

Whatever happened to the classic dark rides? The ones without video screens, 3D screens and the like? The type that I am referring to is the type where you get in a car, follow a track, and things suddenly things light up near you, things suddenly pop out of the dark, etc. Some of the best dark rides didn't depend on CGI or video screens.

To add a wonderful darkride from Europe it has to be:

Fata Morgana, The Efteling, Holland.

They got 2 darkrides though. The other one is called Dreamflight, with elves and trolls and stuff. Impressive but not in the same league as Fata Morgana. If you want to see it:
Efteling - Fata Morgana HD
, scroll 5 mins into it.. its where the ride begins.
