Being able to build Duelling Coasters.

I would like the ability to place two Coaster stations next to each other. Then both coasters will dispatch their trains from the station at the same time.

I would like this method as opposed to say (one coaster being 'rendered' as two different coasters) because it allows the user maximum freedom to what they actually want to synchronise.

In RCT 3 I had a very effective project where I synchronised a Steeplechase ride with a big rollercoaster. I dubbed the two "The Knight's Challenge". The Steeplechase was very tame but tried its hardest to 'duel' with the "Dragon Mega Coaster". To indicate the power of the Dragon and how weak humans are in comparison.

Duelling Coasters add an extra level to coaster design. As all of a sudden you are required to build two layouts that are exciting and interesting, but also take significant advantage of the scenario. Real world example: Dragon's Challenge; Interlocking Cork Screws and Synchronised Vertical Loops.

A lot of the above suggestions are great - especially like the idea of curvy pathways. I would like to see...

  • Buildings that are 'solid' so that rain doesn't appear indoors (always annoyed me in RCT3)
  • Ability to colour (particularly flat) rides how I want. If I want all the cars a different colour then so be it
  • Ability to 'control' a peep (such as Jonny Watts) to go where I want them to, not where they want to
  • Able to create video footage within the park and on-ride (preferably without the long times used in RCT3)
  • Obtain realistic stats from rides with regards to G-Forces etc to make rides at least rideable in real life
  • Terraformed ground that allows (at least) pathways to act smoothly regardless of the tile type
  • Natural tunnels cut through the ground that allow rides to pass through a la Nemesis at Alton Towers

Well I'd better stop there else I could get really carried away!  ;D

A game that is coded efficiently, bug-free, and lag-free.

Just thought of some more i'd like to see:
-Flowing Rivers
-Water slides and other forms of water rides.
-Those rides that have the boat that spins (Congo River Rapids at BGT) and have them be able to be set into the ground.
-Realistic Terrain adjustment, with RCT3 you couldn't really do this, your terrain would get screwed up and have walls of brown, but with this you could have a terrain coaster really close to the side of a mountain.
-An assortment of flat rides and roller coasters, which i'd think a lot of people would enjoy.
-Realistic supports for roller coasters, the videos that i've seen look great so far!
-The ability to have train tracks cross over paths. You could do this in RCT3, but the people would walk right through the train.
That's all for now!

Fantastic suggestions so far.  Aside from just saying "all of the above" I have a list of my own to add:

- flume rides with different boat types
- boat and rapids rides that don't require a visible track
- agree on need for curvy paths, realistic queues
- monorail trains - Disney, UMI (Hersheypark), Bombardier (Vegas)
- Disney-style people over and omnimover vehicles
- sky ride with more realistic gondolas than RCT's chairlift vehicles

There are many things I would like to see be incorporated into TPS, but I will narrow it down instead. :)

-Different Landscaping objects (rocks, trees, flowers...etc.)
-Also agree with others on curved paths, and realistic queues for the guest, angled paths (45 degrees) would be nice. :D
-If waterparks were to incorporated into TPS, than a wave pool would be good to see, and umbrellas and chairs for the guests who are relaxing.
-picnic tables
-The ability to create underground caves (more of a wish than something that is necessary).
-Realistic shops (or restaurants).
-Fences
-Height restrictions on rides (it would be interesting if there was; and if you didn't want this could there be a
button that turned off this option?).
-Themed characters for the park (mascots).
-animals (again another one that is more of a "wish" than something that needs to be added in, maybe a future expansion of the game could include animals?).

Just joined forums thank you TPS for giving us theme park lovers a new game when we really needed it the most!  Besides the rides and rollercoasters what I would like to see is ease in putting up buildings and stations, in the game Rollercoaster tycoon it would take hours to design and make a good building, for me that got to be to time consuming and to much like work and ended up being the reason I shelved the game and turned it into a dust collector.  Pre-made buildings (lots of them) and pre-made building and station sections (some themed, some not) would go a long way in making this a funner and easier to use game.  I am looking forward to the future of TPS and all the new parks it's players will be making.

-Raft Ride

Just these, wooden coasters, and Arrow coasters will make me soooo happy! And of course the traditional sit-down B&Ms and Intamin launchers.  :D

Remember, even if TPS doesn't start with everything you want in terms of coaster types, we could still just make our own. That is the beauty of this game, the fact that custom created content is the goal of this game.

Basically, as long as there are Arrow/Vekoma, B&M, Intamin, Schwarzkopf, Mack, Zierer, Gerstlaur type tracks, we can virtually create all these coaster types...and more!
We all have that one coaster that we're ashamed to ride, but we love it anyway!

I just ask for more coaster types then anything, flat rides are cool but the main focus from the buyers is going to be creating coasters. With that being said, hopefully we'll be able to create smooth, realistic coaster designs easily and it doesn't take days like NoLimits can.
