Great idea! This way we can create Halloween Haunt walk-throughs that guests actually recognize as an attraction (rather than having a no entry so that they have to go all the way through).

I want to make a launch coaster in the dark.
This all themed with stargate SG1.

A big round gate where it launched thru, and then ligths that go everywhere around you.
Man that will be a great coaster  ::)

I had an Idea like that. You start in a station and all the lights go out then your launched in pitch black on a straight track then are stopped by brakes and the rest is an Egyptian dark ride which goes outside and the rest is up to your own imagination.

its like you had almost the same dreams as i do  :P

Mine goes more like a left- right 's whit those lichtbars on the side.
The out of the stargate you end up inside of a piramid, and as you go outside you can see the big spaceship on it.
There i want to build the ride with some loops around.

wonder if its going to be easy to build that piramid  :)

Green Screens! I found a really nice video of an RCT3 dark ride with green screens. It's a recreation of Transformers: the Ride.

The rock and rollercoaster in disney paris is also great.

I wonder if we can put some active loudspeakers to our coasterseats.

I like this idea, not sure if I can get it into the first release of the game, but I'll ask.

More specifically, I think loudspeakers should consist of separate components that the user can edit:

- Object: The speaker object mesh, which can attach a...
- Sound source. Can be attached to an object, a ride seat, or both.

I think it'd also be neat to be able to filter the sound in some way at either at the sound source level, or the object mesh level. A song coming from full speaker systems will sound very different than a song coming from high-ranged tweeting loudspeakers.

Of course, sound sources should also be trigger-able by ride events, such as the train passing specified points. There's a lot of possibilities here.

I wasn't accounting for doppler, environment, etc. in there, just the type of sound source. Most systems can handle distance loudness easily at this point, it's just a matter of getting the correct values to certain distances and loudness levels. I think that at most, the best you can really do is get a good sound positioning filter and add some basic doppler for moving sound sources (which would apply to all sounds), whereas the environment and other situations would have to be up to the user to take care of.

We haven't heard any sounds from TPS yet though, so we really have no clue what's going on other than the possibility of sounds getting recycled from Hyper Rails and other previous projects. There's two components to good sound: source and processing.

Perhaps it's worth opening a new thread or necroing an old one to continue sound discussion.

Horror mazes as recognised attractions, so in October, we can build a set and have differant scare levels, this would also mean having a much slower time than in RCT3 and maybe a dark ride experience outside during the night?
Think Thorpe Park's Blair Witch Project

well i like both them ideas but aloton towers do scare fest which is immense and blackpool have pasaje del terror similar thing (used to work there) and i know florida had terror on church street.

but this would be awesome to have in TPS

I think that having the ability to add an elevator to the queue line (a la Haunted Mansion) would be great!

TPS is already surpassing RCT, but the possibility of creating near realistic real world parks is fantastic. The pre-show for Haunted Mansion is one of the best parts of the ride, I for one would love to be able to recreate that in TPS!

Ugh, I would vote for probably all of these suggestions.

But one I think should be featured that's not technically on the list is to just be able to play music in the park, but someone else suggested loudspeakers and music integration so I think it could be done for the park itself. My theme park is influenced by Dollywood and to be able to play some classic bluegrass in certain sections of the park or in ride queues would be awesome.
