« on: February 28, 2014, 01:44:00 AM »
To try to keep this forum streamlined and smooth running, I decided to start this thread. Please post all your tutorial request here and possibly someone will create one. Thank you.

Yes I do have a request. There were written explanations on how to get a path to make a full circle around a circular pad, have incoming paths on both sides, and make the whole thing look smooth. I haven't been able to do this so far, because I find the descriptions rather confusing. It would be very helpful to me if one of those that already figured this out would make a video tutorial, showing the process step by step.

take a look here. It might not be "exactly" what you're looking for, but It might give you an idea on how you could work with it and possibly manage it!

Yes, I'd like to see a video on all the tricks & tips on path building, including various types of intersections, how to change a path structure after it has been built, adding scenery items to the paths both automatically & manually and texture changing over small & large areas of paths.  Thanks.

How about print friendly ones that can be downloaded and printed out as not everyone can use videos that well (myself included) and find printed ones easier to work with.

LOL!  I'm the opposite, manuals put me to sleep & I don't seem to take enough info in.  Where as I'm happy to sit & watch a video.  I'm sure down the track they'll be more than enough written & video tutorials covering all things TPS!   :)

My problem is usually when I try to watch a video tutorial I miss something because I wasn't fast enough on the pause button, and by the time I realize it, I can't find it again without restarting the whole thing again and again because I missed something else. But, with a printed tutorial, I can simply look back to see what it was that I missed.

Until someone comes up with a way to implant the information directly into the brain, give me a printed tutorial everytime. BTW, I am 66 YO, maybe that's why I can't pause it quick enough.  ;D

I usually need both. Sometimes videos help me better, but other times, I need the manual. And sometimes I need both at the same time.  ;D

I would like a tutorial on how to export a custom building you make in the game and then import it properly, or is that feature not working right yet?

I have half a building and I wanted to copy and paste the other half, since we have no feature for that I figured I would just export then import, but it does not work right for me.

An in depth tutorial on terraforming would be incredibly helpful.  I am having trouble grasping the whole terraforming to make hills and lakes etc.  I may just be doing it too quickly.

Another Tutorial I would like to see at some point would be how to make tunnels.  That will come in handy when making rollercoasters

It is my understanding that to make tunnels you would have to create a custom structure to simulate them similar to how the did the Matterhorn and Expedition to Everest.

Isn't that a work around until they officially release underground building feature?

That isn't a work around;  that's probably what will be the norm for making tunnels and simulated "into the mountain" style attractions.  Before officially releasing an underground building feature, it would officially have to be announced.  Besides, most coasters that use  simulated mountain tunneling like the Matterhorn, E.Everest, or mine rides  to name a few, all go through man made structures.

If that is the case a tutorial for that as well then :P cause that will also probably involve in depth terraforming as well -which i have never been able  to teach myself in any game.
